This series of Buddha images were first created using a fired clay technique then developed into glazed ceramics using the Raku technique, showing us that the artist and the artwork forged a close bond. Suwicha’s work is characterised by being hand-shaped, the visible fingermarks that have been pressed throughout the terracotta, resemble the turbulence which lies between life and dependency.
